What it does

🎯 Loadout select

Pick your 4 stratagems from a near-complete list — Super Earth's finest, in your hand.

🗂️ Three fronts

LOADOUT, SUPPORT and MISSION tabs — every mission-critical and objective stratagem is always callable.

🎮 Game Mode

Flip it into a Bluetooth keyboard and dial stratagems on the D-pad that fire in the actual game.

🔊 Bluetooth audio

Pair a speaker for democratically liberated sound clips straight from the game.

🕹️ Stratagem Hero

Built-in training minigame — sharpen your inputs, citizen. No extra payment necessary.

🌙 Managed screens

Auto-dims after 45 s and powers the display off after 60 s to avoid burn-in.

How it works

  1. Click the Install button for your screen size.
  2. A pop-up lists serial ports — pick the one for your CYD (often labelled CP2102 or Silicon Labs).
  3. Choose Install and wait — it erases, writes, and verifies automatically.
  4. When it finishes, the board reboots into the Tacpad. For Super Earth. 🫡

Trouble connecting? Unplug and replug the board, close any other program using the serial port (Arduino IDE, PlatformIO monitor, etc.), then try again.

Before you start:
  1. Use Chrome, Edge, or Opera on a desktop computer. Firefox, Safari, and phones/tablets aren't supported (no Web Serial API).
  2. Connect the board with a data USB cable — some cheap cables are charge-only.
  3. On Windows, if the board isn't detected, install the free CP2102 USB-to-UART driver (most CYD boards use this chip).
⚠️ Flash the build that matches your screen. The two versions have different display drivers baked in — flashing the wrong one leaves the screen blank or garbled (it's harmless, just re-flash the correct one).

SD card files

The Tacpad uses a MicroSD card for its sound clips and Stratagem icons. Format the card as FAT32 (32 GB or smaller).

  1. Download the SD card bundle:

⬇ Download SD card files

  1. Unzip it, then copy all of the files and folders onto the root of your SD card (not inside a sub-folder).
  2. Insert the card into the CYD and power it on, then pair a Bluetooth speaker to hear the audio.
